Why build a new website in WordPress?
To account for many different types of websites that people need, we choose to use WordPress as our Content Management System. This allows someone that initially only wanted a brochure website to display some of their basic business information and have customers reach them through a contact form be able to expand into having a fully functional ecommerce store with custom data and filtering, along with a blog, along with the capabilities of modern page builders to create almost anything you can think of.
Since you own your website and not us, it’s also very easy for us to backup your data and provide you with your website if you ever choose to go with another hosting provider, something many of the other CMS’s don’t easily have the capability of.
How long will it take to build my new website?
It’s hard to put a time on a project without knowing any of the details about it. The usual hold ups are gathering the images and other article content that is going to go onto the website.
However, once scope and design are approved and we start the actual building of the website, a typical 5-10 page website shouldn’t take more than a week or two to complete. There are some variables in this, such as; reviews for any rounds of revisions, complexity, whether there’s a store with products to create, etc. We can give you a better estimate once we see the scope of your project.
How much will my new website cost?
Budget is always a concern for most clients. Using the example from above, a typical 5-10 page website that is given to us with complete scope and design already created, usually is in the realm of $2,500 depending on complexity. We don’t want this number to drive people away, but we like to be up front about costs. This amount is takes into account the time it takes us to build the site, set up your hosting, email accounts, some initial SEO, and other tasks. Some websites take a bit more time to design and build, some take a bit less. Each estimate we create takes into account the needs of the particular website we are building.
We also have service packages that build up smaller websites with lesser scope requirements for much less than that. These websites can always be expanded later on to increase their functionality and grow as large as you and your business would need them to be. We try to keep your budget and the project requirements as close together as we can.
