ROOST WEB MANAGED HOSTING PACKAGE
Here is what comes with our hosting and what’s special about it:
- 5 GB server storage (to start) — Most websites can easily stay under this limit without an issue. For some sites with tons of pages and images, or sites that are running e-commerce (an online store), 5 GB can fill up and slow the site down. For those sites, we recommend that you at least double your storage to 10 GB, which costs a little more, but also includes more RAM. More RAM = More speed!
- No bandwidth limits or data transfer caps. Some hosting companies will limit how many page views or how much data you can use before throttling your website speed. Our hosting provides a dedicated processor core for your website, and no restrictions on how often your website can be visited.
- Nightly backups in the cloud. We will configure your website to create nightly database/content backups, bi-weekly full site backups, with backups stored for one month in the Amazon cloud.
- WP core and general plugin updates will be handled automatically as needed. We make sure that when there is a significant update to either WordPress Core, or any installed plugins and themes you may have, that they happen quickly. Updates usually happen each night during off-hours after site backups have been generated. If WordPress notifies of any additional code vulnerabilities, we take care of those as well.
- Every two weeks, we will manually check the site and to ensure updates have all been made and things look good. While we trust our tools to keep everything humming along, we also like to do some live sanity checking to make sure a form hasn’t broken, or images are properly loading, things you would expect your users to normally be able to do. This also lets us stay in touch and up-to-date with all of our projects, and any new things you may have added to your website on your own!
- If something goes awry, we take care of the process of restoring your site from a previous backup. We will roll back the update that caused the problem so there is no issue with website performance.
- iThemes Security Pro to lock down your site security. We use this security plugin to help prevent malware, security hacks, and brute force attacks. It helps lock out bad users and bots from crawling around on your site looking for any potential backdoors.
- Monitor security and problem warnings for you. We have the emails and notifications for your website sent to us to manage so you don’t have to. This means that, hopefully, we’ve already taken care of any issue your site might have before you’ve even noticed it. However, if you ever notice something that could be wrong with your site, reach out and let us know and we’ll work to get it resolved quickly.
- We also include Intrusion (Hack) Detection and Automatic Malware Cleanup to help further prevent unwanted issues on your website. This is additional security on the hosting server side. These tools utilize highly tailored and integrated components for proactive real-time website protection and web server security.
