The Project
The Client
With over 30 years combined Capoeira experience Professor Brucutu (Davey Jackson) and Instructora Angoleira (Heather Figi) are dedicated lifetime practitioners of the Brazilian Martial Art of Capoeira. Capoeira is a Brazilian Martial Art that combines dance, acrobatics and music in a spectacular game of ritual combat.
The Goal
Eugene Capoeira recently updated their branding (via the awesome Veronica at Supernova Creative Studio) and wanted a new website to more closely match their new look. They also wanted an authoring platform that was easier to edit and would allow for more control over page layout and design.
The Result
We accomplished the project goals by using WordPress with Astra theme and Elementor as the advanced editor. This allowed us to easily incorporate an artist’s paintings, loads of photos, and add a sleek, parallax-type effect when scrolling through the pages. Davey was able to pick up editing with Elementor and run with it with just a short bit of training. Mission accomplished!
The Home Page
The main page incorporates all of the most important pieces of information for new and returning students, which is the target audience of the site. The funnel to the contact page (the main goal) is quick and clear.
About Page
For folks that are completely new to Capoeira (like we were, to start off), the About page introduces you to both the history of Capoeira in general, as well as Eugene Capoeira and their instructors.
Contact Page
The contact page is the main goal page and contains a form, as well as a video welcome message and other ways to get in touch with Eugene Capoeira.
